Artist Protile
Ryota Matsumoto (松本良多) is a famous Philosopher, Artist, and Japanese Author from Japan. He is the founder of an award-winning interdisciplinary design office, Ryota Matsumoto Studio based in Tokyo and New York. As a video producer, he has worked with Peter Christopherson for Japanese Nike commercials. He is a renowned architect and one of the most prominent theorists of postdigital art in Japan and the United States. He has served as the MFA advisor of Transart institute, University of Plymouth and teaches at Asagaya Institute of Art and Design as a professor of practice.
ポストデジタル社会
ポストデジタル (ぽすとでじたる)はネットワーク化された資本主義社会におけるデジタルアートの美術論である。
プラットフォーム・キャピタリズム、デジタル・スタック理論、インタラクティブネットワーク、複雑系、メディアアートと偶発性をハイブリッド・デジタルメディアにとりいれたポスト構造主義、シングラリティー社会論以降のメディアに対するセオリーである。
サウンドアーティストであるキム・カスコーン (Kim Cascone) によるグリッチ・アートの定義化とともに提唱され欧米では社会学者であるジョージオ・アガンベン (Giorgio Agamben)、加速主義の社会学者の松本良多 (Ryota Matsumoto) によりサイバネティクス以降の社会学として実践されている。
